one thing a blog may not need
It’s very rude to force an unrequested media file — a song or midi, for instance — on your readers. Don’t pay any attention to what they do on MySpace. Your reader may be browsing at work, and that rockin’ Godsmack tune which sounded so cool when you posted it last Friday night won’t be nearly as appropriate blaring from someone’s cubicle at 10am on Monday.
Along these same lines, a lot of people are experimenting with Flash ads. If yours has sound, default it to mute.
Fat graphics fall under the category of unrequested media. An image is starting to get porky beyond 30 kilobytes or so. Something else which gives some users trouble is YouTube links. I’ve started grabbing screenshots of the content, rather than embedding the usual YouTube code onto my front page. Users who want to watch the video click-through to a content page. Readers who don’t won’t have their browser clogged by unnecessary scripts.
从今天开始,本博客上的音乐默认设置为关闭状态,如有需要请自行打开,开关在左侧"Now Playing"的专辑图片下。
另外,呼吁朋友们也把背景音乐的控制条显示出来,因为it's very very rude to force an unrequested media file.
